Introduction to SoulCollage®

Saturday, December 1, 2 - 5:30 p.m.

SoulCollage® is a playful & intuitive process for Self-Discovery. Anyone can enjoy this creative art form using

images, scissors and glue sticks to make collage cards.

This multi-leveled process of exploration, curiosity and discovery can help give meaningful insight to increased

awareness and inner wisdom in a shared, supportive Community setting.

Fee: $40 per person or bring a friend and pay $70 for two.

Introduction to PROCESS PAINTING Workshop

(also known as Intuitive Painting)

Friday, December 14 from 7 - 9 p.m. and Saturday December 15 from 10 - 5:30 p.m.

Process Painting is an intuitive art form that opens us to our own naturally spontaneous creativity.

Working with tempura paints and paper, our task is simple.

It is not about painting a particular object or scene or a technique.

We start by listening to our intuition and trusting in the process of letting go and taking small risks.

What color do we feel ourselves drawn to?

What brush stroke do we sense wants to be made?

Experience the joy of discovering your own creative aliveness that is within each of us.

Paint in a safe, comment-free environment. No painting or art experience needed.

Fee: $85 per person or bring a friend and pay $155 for two.

OPEN STUDIO for PROCESS PAINTING

Meets the 4th Wednesday of each month from 7 - 9 p.m.

For those who have taken Intro to Process Painting,

continue your practice of process painting in a safe, supportive group.

Fee: $5 per person per session

Exploring the Inner Self Through Art: a "Study" Group

(Dates to be determined)

This will be an ongoing group that meets twice a month for three months, for those interested in jump starting their art work, continuing to work on their current projects or beginning a new series of art works.

In a safe and supportive environment with other like minded individuals, we will explore our own inner depths through our art making. This is an opportunity to take some small risks, stretching ourselves as much as is comfortable. We will gently open to exploring unknowns and discover possibilities that lie dormant within us.

Art & Loss: an Opportunity for Healing

For anyone who has suffered a significant loss such as the death of a loved one, divorce or loss of a partner, loss of a job, and more, handling the grieving process can be overwhelming. Trying to make sense of the feelings of being bereft, angry, frustrated and in pain, can be very difficult, to say the least.

Turning to art making can be a very helpful, supportive and healing vehicle with which to explore and integrate some of the issues and feelings that arise during the process of grieving and thereby offer some degree of peace, comfort and meaning.

Participants will be invited to use two intuitive forms of art, Process Painting and collage (SoulCollage®).

The environment is safe, supportive and judgment-free. This is not a theraphy group, but an opportunity for those who have suffered loss, to join with others, and support each other while working with their own individual process healing grief through art.

Intuitive Art Sampler Class

Experience the freedom of connecting with your own natural flow of creative energy as you intuitively select

magazine images, paint colors and learn to sense what mark the brush wants to make.

This course is not about techniques, painting an object or scene, but is about learning to listen to the subtleties of your own intuitive process. First we will begin making SoulCollage® cards by spontaneously selecting magazine images. Next we will explore Intuitive Drawing, and the we'll engage in Process Painting.

No experience necessary.

MEDITATION Through KNITTING

Has it ever occurred to you that knitting could actually be a genuine spiritual path?

What would it take?

While engaged in knitting a simple project, we will explore observing the activities of our mind (just as we do in

meditation).

Come experience the blending of knitting and wisdom

as we explore our own process of meditation through knitting.

Jenny Manes will generously share her 30 plus years of professional sewing" know-how" with you as she helps

you work through your sewing problems.

"ALABAMA CHANIN" Clothing SEWING Workshop

Come experience the latest sewing craze from Alabama Studio Style!

Make a simple T-shirt or A-line skirt (or both!). NO sewing machine required.

We will begin with cotton knit & a simple pattern. Constructed solely with hand sewing techniques, you will

choose from an array of beautiful hand stitches, then embellish, simply or elaborately, with stenciling, beads,

quilting, applique or reverse applique, leaving raw edges for a fun, organic look.

You will create a gorgeous garment, sure to become a staple in your wardrobe.

(Warning: This can become addictive!)
